Momo OR Dim sum- What you call it !!

"What is the difference between dumpling or momo or dim sum or wonton?" We are sure,most of us has googled this.Often out of curiousity we search for our favourite food abouts.With growing globalisation, food from different ,different culture has reached to every bit of corner of world.Different country adding variation has different name to it ,somwhere it is momo and the other place it is wontons.To understand all of these,lets begin with


● Dumplings - It is a much broader term ,for all cooked balls of dough with fillings(cooked or uncooked,spicy or sweet).Dumplings is a common term ,which name variates from region to region.Little brief history of dumpling is ,ir was originally created by poor people ,but today it has become immensely popular across different countries

●Momos -Originally from tibet ,momos has become quite popular in south asian countires.With foods from different culture reaching to other regions ,momos has gained immense popularity as a fast food snack.They are available in two options -Steamed and fried ,and has become the much loved style of dumplings

●Wantons - These are chinese dumplings,reached to America.They are basically dough balls filled usually with pork that has been seasonef with spices.Traditionally wanton in some parts of china, is eaten during mid winter in the memory of doctor who added medicines in them to cure poor people.

Therefore it is not wrong to say that ,Dumplings are available in every culture in different styles ,some of them are

● Banh bot loc in vietnamese
●Buuz in Mongolian
●Mandu in korean
● Manti in  Turkish or
● Samosa in India 

Dim Sum in Chinese
